The short version

You can browse Printed without an account. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we never see your wallet's keys. Below is everything our servers store, and for how long.

When you sign in

Sign-in is handled by our sign-in and wallet provider. Depending on how you sign in, it holds your email address, your Google or X account details, or your wallet address. If Printed creates a wallet for you, its keys are secured by that provider and only you can use them.

What our servers store: your printed account

Only if you sign in and use these features. Your wallet address is public on the blockchain; it is how these are tied to you.

Profile
Your wallet address, handle, name, bio, picture and banner choice, and whether your coins are listed on your page.
Kept: Until you delete your profile on the You tab. The handle is freed at once.
Sessions
A one-way fingerprint of your sign-in cookie, never the cookie itself, with your wallet and its expiry. Each sign-in signature also leaves a fingerprint, so it can't be used twice.
Kept: Deleted when you sign out (or sign out on all devices). Otherwise it ends after 7 days unused, or 30 days at most, and is removed the next time that wallet signs in. Signature fingerprints are removed once they're ten minutes old, at the next sign-in.
Follows
Which wallets you follow.
Kept: Until you unfollow.
Posts
What you wrote, the coin it names, that coin's price and market cap at that moment, and whether your wallet held at least $20 of it.
Kept: Deleting a post hides it everywhere at once. The row is kept, marked deleted, because a deleted call still counts on your record.
Likes and reports
The posts you liked and the posts you reported.
Kept: Likes until you unlike. Reports are kept.
Watchlist
The coins you starred while signed in, so they follow you to other devices.
Kept: Until you unstar them.
Feed and notification settings
Your two For You answers, the themes you follow on Metas, and which kinds of notifications you turned off.
Kept: Until you change them.
Linked wallets
Which of your wallets belong to the same person (your Printed wallet and, for example, Phantom), so your profile, follows and calls stay one. Only from your own sign-in or a signature from the second wallet.
Kept: Until you delete your profile.
Calls
Your Call it stamps: the coin, its market cap at that second, and whether you held it. Private: only you can see your calls unless you share the card.
Kept: Until you delete them. A deleted call still counts on your own record.
Price alerts and push
The alerts you set (coin, target market cap) and, if you turn on notifications, your device's push address from Apple, Google or your browser. Push is off until you switch it on.
Kept: Fired alerts are removed after 7 days. A push address is removed when you turn notifications off or the device stops accepting them.
Portfolio history
The total value of your wallet every few minutes, so the chart on your profile has a line.
Kept: 35 days.

What our servers store: trades and codes

Trade log
For every trade Printed builds: your wallet, the coin, buy or sell, what you pay with, the amounts quoted, the minimum you accepted, our fee, whether the pre-check passed, the transaction signature and what the network did with it.
Kept: No automatic deletion yet. A trade that lands is public on the blockchain anyway.
Referral ledger
Each code and the wallet that claimed it, which wallet joined through which code, and for each referred trade its signature, the fee and the share owed. The code a trade was sent with is kept next to its signature.
Kept: No automatic deletion yet: it is what referral payouts are made from.
Network fees Printed paid
When Printed pays a trade's network fee for you, or swaps a little of your USDC for SOL to cover fees: the transaction, your wallet, the amount, and which coin accounts our payment opened, so the deposit (rent) can be settled when you sell.
Kept: No automatic deletion yet.
Wins
Wins posted or spotted on Printed Today: the sell's transaction, the wallet, the coin and the amounts; and one reaction per device per win, keyed by a random device id.
Kept: No automatic deletion yet.

What our servers store: usage and market data

Events
A random id your browser makes (not tied to you), what was opened or tapped (a coin, a profile, a list) and when. Your wallet only on actions you take while signed in. No IP address, no email, no name.
Kept: No automatic deletion yet.
Market history
Price, market cap and volume for the coins on our lists every few minutes; and public trades on a coin's pool, including the trading wallet as the chain shows it, to draw charts.
Kept: Snapshots 30 days. Chart trades: no automatic deletion yet.
Holder checks
For the biggest holders of a coin someone opens, where each wallet first got its SOL (public chain data, looked up once), to show when top holders are linked.
Kept: Kept: a wallet's first funding never changes.
Crash reports
When the app breaks: the error, the page and your browser type. No wallet, account or personal details.
Kept: Written to our host's logs, which the host keeps for a limited time.
Rate limits
Short-lived counters tied to your IP address, to stop abuse. Where a counter is kept in our database, it holds a one-way fingerprint of the address, never the address itself.
Kept: Minutes; old counters are removed automatically as new ones are written.

Kept on your device only

Display currency, trade settings, chain choice, when you accepted the trading terms, when you last opened notifications, recent searches, the Phantom connection, and the random device id above.

Also a copy of your profile look, watchlist, For You answers and your referral code, so the app is instant. Signing out clears that copy from the device; device settings stay. Clearing your browser data removes all of it.

Services that process data for us

We use carefully chosen service providers for: sign-in and wallets; card and Apple Pay purchases (only if you buy that way, through a payment provider shown at checkout); hosting, network and security; our database; blockchain data; market data and currency rates; trade routing; and push notifications (only if you turn them on, through Apple or Google). Each sees only what it needs to do its job, under its own privacy and security terms. Our hosting and network providers see your IP address, as any website's do.

What we never do

Sell or rent your data, run ads, track you across other companies' apps or websites, trade on your orders, or ask for your recovery phrase or private key. Nobody from Printed will ever ask for them.

Your choices

Use Printed signed out; sign out any time; delete your public profile, posts and likes; unfollow; unstar; export your wallet from the Bag.

To delete your account: delete your profile on the You tab, then email [email protected] from the address you sign in with (or tell us your wallet address) and we will remove the rest of the data tied to it that we are not required to keep. Trades on the blockchain are public and permanent; no one can delete them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. We honor those requests for everyone, wherever they live. Email [email protected]; we may ask you to prove the wallet or sign-in is yours before acting. We don't sell or share personal data for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of there.

Children

Printed is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has an account, email us and we will remove it.

Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, limited access, and regular review of how the app handles it. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Where data is kept

Printed is run from the United States, and our servers and service providers process data there. Using Printed means your data is handled in the United States.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes. If a change matters to how your data is used, we will say so in the app before it applies.

Who we are
